Bug w/ F35B Lighting II

Amusing simulator but wasted money on the F35B Lighting II since it doesnt work as it should be...
For example, After having lift off vertically (around 1K feet), I should be able to switch to horizontal mode w/out crashing into the ocean due to the lack of power!! OR It wont let me switch to vertical mode while flying on horizontal mode.
